Hello Troupe 5160!
Thespian Society is an international organization where theatre students just like YOU can unite over their love of theatre! It's a way to foster the creativity and passion invoked in being a thespian, as well as bringing thespians together from all over your state. Each school has their own troupe number to distinguish themselves and take part in the benefits of the society, should they chose to be a part of the organization.
The Thespian Society at Duluth High School is known around the state as Troupe 5160. With over four thousand registered thespians around Georgia and hundreds of troupes- knowing who we are is important. So don't forget, 5160!
What It's Like to Be a Thespian
Being a part of the society has so many perks, which is why we encourage all of our theatre students to be a part of it when they get enough points!
While in the society, you have the opportunity to partake in activists that strength you as a performer as well as your connections to other thespians in our community! We have lots of team building outings and activities planned with our thespians to create a unified group of people who share a mutual love of theatre.
One of our best opportunities is Thespian Conference (ThesCon) that we have every February in Columbus, GA for three days and two nights! We interact with other troupes from across the state in a conference filled with workshops, watching shows, and making new friends. It's a blast to experience your passion with other like minded thespians. It's amazing, and we recommend every thespian should try to go!
